Aleph Alpha Appoints Ilhan Scheer as Co-CEO

Heidelberg, 1 February 2026 – Aleph Alpha appoints Ilhan Scheer as Co-CEO. Following the completion of the company’s strategic and operational realignment in late 2025, Scheer and Co-CEO Reto Spörri now lead the company with a renewed focus on execution and growth. Scheer previously held the position of Chief Growth Officer (CGO) within the organisation since August 2025.

As Co-CEO, Scheer assumes overall responsibility for commercial execution, product direction, and technical strategy. He aligns go-to-market, product, and engineering leadership under a clear operational mandate, with a focus on accountability, delivery, and measurable outcomes.

Scheer brings extensive experience as a founder and operator in technology-driven environments. He previously founded and scaled multiple companies and held senior leadership roles in global organizations, where he focused on translating complex technology into operational systems.

Going forward, Aleph Alpha commits to building specialized language models for regulated and system-relevant domains, including public administration, industry, and defense-related environments.
